Jennifer Richard

India Bangalore Mission

During this time of great anxiety, I met Jennifer (my wife now) as I was asked to take care of YSA enrolments in our branch then (now ward). Although me and my wife faced many challenges and family issues at the beginning, life just moved on and we were able to know each other better as we continued to date. This went on for about 6 years and by this time me and my wife decided that before we get married that she needs to go on a mission and by the way my wife has been a member of the church from her childhood. Her aunt introduced her to the church and she is one of the strong members of the church and had a desire to go on a mission. Since we don't want to compromise on the gospel and the Lord, we have decided to have her go on a mission, so I did all that I could do to prepare her spiritually and since she was also working, was able to save some money and applied for a mission. She got her call to serve in India bangalore mission and served successfully for 18 months although she had to come back in between due to health issues but with her determination to serve the Lord, after waiting for about 3 months was called back again to serve and she completed the remaining months and came home with honour which is something we always feel proud of and it never happened with any one before. She served under president David M Berret in places like Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad & Vizag. As soon as she returned home, in another two weeks’ time we got married and were sealed in Salt Lake temple, Utah for time and eternity. Prior to this, myself and my family were also sealed in a Hong Kong temple and overall we were able to see around 14 temples together so far and we are hoping to see many more temples and be in those grounds is something we would always love to do and will work towards throughout our lives.
