Sreedhar Sirigiri
India Bangalore Mission
2011 – 2013
Experience 1
I started my mission from Erode Branch on May 28th, 2011. My companion elder Mandal picked me up from Coimbatore airport. It was very dry in Erode as we had no dates for baptism and no progressing investigators. For 3 months we worked to make a good pool of investigators by building our relationship with the members of the branch. After 3 months I was asked to train a new missionary in Erode. I myself was new and wondered how I would train. However, with the support of my companion trainee I was able to go through the training period with my companion very well. We had 5 baptisms in one month in Erode and that was a great blessing. All our prayers were answered, and our hard work paid back.
Experience 2
I was serving in Erode and we traveled to Coimbatore for district conferences. I was asked by Elder Narla to accompany him after the district conference as we went looking. It was his last day on a mission. We knocked on as many doors as we could find for more than 3 hours. At last we came to a house, where a humble family lived. A wonderful family of 4 allowed us to teach the restoration that day. We felt the spirit as we taught this family. Elder Narla went home and I went back to Erode. When we returned to Coimbatore a week later for a district meeting, I showed the house where this family lived to the elders serving in the area. A few weeks later the entire family was baptized. Fast forward a few years. Now the eldest son in the family serves as a missionary in India Bengaluru Mission. Elder Navneet now serves in Gajuwaka branch of Visakhapatnam District. I had a dream of seeing someone I would teach or find on my mission, while they serve their mission. I was able to meet with Elder Navneet recently and it filled my heart.
