India Bangalore Mission

2014 – 2016

In the year 2005 July, my brother and I went to our friend’s home to play video games. We met the Missionaries for the first time over there. After which my brother started to take lessons from the missionaries, of which I was not a part. Suddenly one day I saw my brother's baptism invitation lying at my home, I picked it up and was so inspired seeing the invitation. I had no idea about what baptism was but I could sense that my brother was doing something good, which was making him so happy. Even I wanted to taste that happiness, so I accompanied my brother to the church. I felt so good at the church, I still cannot forget the peace and comfort I received of which I was longing for since a long time.

Missionaries started teaching me and they were great teachers, not only in words but in actions as well. Their names were Elder Sproul and Elder Seerapu. One night I was stuck in the rain as it was raining heavily, I was shivering and wondering about how I would reach home, suddenly Elder Seerapu came and removed his coat, gave it to me and they started rushing to the apartment. This kind act of service attracted me to the gospel and inspired me to be like them. There I understood that actions speak more than words, I started dreaming to be a missionary from that day. I was baptized by my brother on 28th Aug 2005. I had many challenges in preparing for my mission, especially in getting my passport, but I don't lose hope and the lord strengthened me and I was called to serve in the India Bangalore Mission (1 st Aug 2014- 2nd Aug 2016). Mission is the greatest blessing in my life, Mission helped me to strengthen my testimony. The principles and doctrines which I only read in books, came into reality and understanding when I started to prepare to teach others. I served in Rajahmundry, Hyderabad, Chennai and Coimbatore, each of these places has a story of helping me and renewing my testimony about my Saviour Jesus Christ. I was trained by a wonderful Elder O Dell, he was a hard-working missionary and was a great example to me. Mission is a wonderful journey of 2 years, where I discovered the souls which were waiting for me to preach the gospel to them. I felt so happy that my Heavenly Father had trusted me in this great responsibility. I saw and witnessed many miracles on missions, where my feet used to hurt a lot at night and when I woke up without a trace of pain. where teaching of the first vision melted many hearts, and ended up in the waters of baptism. I am grateful for this great experience, The best two years of my life.
